what's next...

September is here!

We have some shows right at the top of this month…I will be back in the studio at the end of the month to work on the new record. Stay tuned…
I hope we get to see some of you at a show or two!

On September 3rd, I'll be at the Isanti Spirits Distillery playing their Shut Up & Listen concert series. It's a duo of Jeremy Ylvisaker and me. Our friend Molly Maher is also on the bill. Come on out if you are in the area!

September 4th, Tina Schlieske & Friends will be at the Historic Auditorium in St. Croix Falls, WI. This is our first time playing here, so come on out and keep us company!

September 5th, I am returning to Reider Homesteadwith my full band in Delano, MN. This is a very special venue celebrating Minnesota's singer-songwriters, and I always feel so lucky to be a part of this series. This is a private event, but you can join their mailing list for future shows!

September 7th, Labor Day! Meanwhile, back in Santa Barbara, CA, the Graceland Exiles, myself, and Sister Laura return to Cold Spring Tavern for our annual Labor Day show! We play 1:00 to 4:00, and it's FREE! Come say goodbye to summer with us.

A look ahead…November 7th & 8th, I will be celebrating my 60th birthday with some shows at the Dakota in Minneapolis, MN. Mark your calendars!

And it's never too early to plan for the holidays… many of you have been asking if we will be doing a holiday show in Minnesota. Sadly, once again this year, we couldn't make it work. However, we are playing at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara, CAon Saturday, December 12th. We are working on a very special show and a special offer to our Minnesota friends who make it out to see us! Stay Tuned!

The Good Life

My new jazz record on Shifting Paradigm Records. I was able to record with some of the Twin Cities most excellent performers who brought so much care to these songs that I love and wanted to explore more deeply.

Do You Want to Host a House Concert?

I'm going to open up my touring schedule for a limited run of house concerts this year. House shows are the glue that holds touring musicians' livelihoods together at the seams. If you have a house/yard/barn/patio/rooftop where 30 to 130 folks can gather, you can host a house concert!

We are currently accepting submissions for house/outdoor shows, and we will consider any offer from enthusiastic hosts, from house show veterans to first-timers. No space or audience size is too small for consideration - it doesn't take a ton of wood to light a fire! Feel free to reach out directly and find more info at this link HERE.

Let's see what we can do together.

Well, that's about it…I hope that next year we all find peace, continue to support, see our true selves, and be all of our true selves while we enjoy “The Good Life”. See you in 2024…t
